ABOUT TAEYANG

YB’s BIOGRAPHY : Dong Youngbae a.k.a Taeyang or SOL (In Japan) [NB : Taeyang means SUN in Korean]  was born in Uijeongbu, In South Korea.  His astrological sign is bull. He’s principal singer, choregrapher and author into BIGBANG, a famous South Korean boysband created by YG Entertainment.

He knows how to compose, and he knows how to play the piano, he really love dance, and before becoming a singer, he was a rapper. He speaks : Korean, Japanese and English. He is very religious, it feels good to the church.

He studied at University of Daejün, to learn theater. He have a old brother who called Hyeonbae.

The name of YB’s stans is SOLMATES but it’s not official.

JOINING THE YG ENT. : 

Taeyang became trainee at the age of 13 years. He appared in the “A-YO” MV of Jinusean with his best friend Kwon Ji Yong, which later became the leader of BIGBANG. He was started as a rapper with G-Dragon but YG abandoned the project. Taeyang been training for 6 years before made his official debut in 2006 as leader vocal of BIGBANG.

SOLO CAREER :

Taeyang released his first solo mini album “HOT” May 22, 2008. He was disappointed with his album because he had not composed the songs. After Taeyang released his first solo digital single “Where u at” and the second “Wedding Dress”

Taeyang finally released his first major solo album on July 1, 2010 called : SOLAR.

The album is available on iTunes and then ranks #2 in the category “Album R & B / Soul and the United States and # 1 in Canada in the same category. This was the first Asian singer also get a good ranking.

Taeyang currently preparing an album for 2013 !
